[Applause] good afternoon good afternoon we met earlier on and what's your name please my name is mvin mayo and I'm a Richmond police officer in Virginia the state of Virginia Movin tell us about you and why you decided to come here well I grew up in um housing project in Richmond Virginia and there was a program called The Police Athletic League officer named Curtis Simmons kind of took me under his wing cuz I was a little mischievous growing up and he kept me safe I'm alive today because he kept me out of that and

I and I I I thank him for that cuz I tell people I've seen more murders as a child than I have as a police officer wow so it's important to you I wanted to work with the at risk youth because I wasn't at risk youth and so for 17 years I've been working with the at risk youth wowow that says a lot about you as a person thank you what made you decide this year to come on the show and why well I've been thinking about it for years but I shall away because the only competition I do is karaoke right so uh
